Salisbury Steak

Ingredients

  • PATTIES
  • 1 Lb Ground beef (85/15 or 90/10)
  • 1 Tsp Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp Low Sugar Ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp Worchestershire Sauce
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 Cup Almond Flour
  • Sea Salt and Pepper to taste
  • GRAVY
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 Medium White Onion
  • 1/4 Cup Mushrooms
  • 2 Cups Beef Broth
  • 1 Tbsp Low Sugar Ketchup
  • 1 /2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 Tsp Xanthan Gum

Directions

  1. Slice the onion and  mushrooms and set aside.
  2. Heat a large pan to medium-high heat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl combine all the patty ingredients and make into four patties.
  4. Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the hotpan and add the four patties. Cook 5 minutes on each side, until fully cooked through and crispy on the outside. Set patties aside, they will come back to the pan later.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium-low and Drain off 1/3 of the drippings. Add butter to pan, add the chopped onions and mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes until the onion and mushrooms are tender.
  6. Add the beef broth, ketchup, and worcestershire sauce and combine. Bring to a boil and reduce for 5 minutes. Add the xanthan gum and then add the cooked patties back into the gravy mixture.
  7. Cook for an additional 5 minutes flipping the patties once. Enjoy!
